Use of the scooters

When I can use the scooters?

Our scooters are available in Madrid every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

How do I find the scooters

You can see the available scooters using the map you will find in the ACCIONA Motosharing app.

How do I book a scooter? How much time do I have left?

Once you have found the nearest scooter, click on it and click "Reserve", you will have 10 minutes to start your journey. If after 10 minutes you have not started the service, the reservation will be cancelled.

How do I use the scooter?

When you are next to the scooter, press the "Unlock" button on the app to turn it on. Place one foot on it and with the other foot take the necessary impulse to start moving, then press the right button on the handlebars to accelerate and the left button to brake, remember that you can also use the rear wheel brake. 

 

Where can I ride?

You can ride a scooter on the routes authorised by the Sustainable Mobility Ordinance of the city of Madrid:

1. Remember that it is forbidden to drive on sidewalks and other spaces reserved for pedestrians.

2. You can ride on a scooter on streets, cycle lanes, cycle tracks, bicycle lanes, roads integrated into zones 30, respecting the priority of pedestrians, and on streets in which all lanes have a maximum speed of 30 km/h.

When driving in these areas, remember to use the central part of the lane.

Pay attention that there are no specific signs prohibiting it in areas such as tunnels or specific streets.

3. In public parks, you should only ride on those itineraries where bicycles are allowed. In the case of paths shared with pedestrians, you must limit your speed to 5 km/h.

4. Traffic on bus lanes is prohibited, as well as on accesses and non-lighted sections of the M30.

 

Is it compulsory to wear a helmet?

It is not compulsory, but it is recommended.

Can I take passengers with me?

No, only one person can move on the scooter.

Can another person use the scooter with my user?

No, with your user only you are authorized to use the scooter. In case someone else starts the trip with your account, the corresponding penalty provided in our "Terms and Conditions of Use" will be applied.

Am I covered by insurance?

Yeah, the insurance covers the scooter driver.

Where can I park the scooter?

You will be able to park the scooter in the places allowed by the corresponding parking ordinance, remember that you cannot park it in underground car parks.

Can I pause during the trip

Yes, and in any area. To make a pause correctly park the scooter and press the button "Pause" in the application, this way the scooter will remain booked until you want to resume your journey, remember that this pause will be charged according to the standard rate per minute. In the beta test phase (free limited time) you can pause for a maximum of 15 minutes.

How do I end the trip?

When you arrive at your destination, make sure you are in a permitted parking area and in the delimited area, otherwise the app will not let you finish your journey.

  1. Put the side stand.
  2. Access the application and end the trip.

What do I do if I identify any damage or malfunction in the scooter

If you see that the scooter has a damage or does not work properly, please inform our Customer Service Centre by calling toll free 900 866 002. You can also use the app to report an incident.

Can I drive in case of traffic restrictions due to pollution?

Of course you do. Our scooters are electric and do not pollute. With them you can move around the city taking care of the environment in a clean and sustainable way.

Can I ride in APR areas: Residential Priority Areas?

Yes, you can circulate in these areas, always respecting the rules of circulation of scooters.

What happens if my phone runs out of battery?

Make sure that your mobile always has battery to start and end the journey.

In the event that you run out of battery, you should call the toll-free 900 866 002 of the Customer Service Centre to find out how to proceed.
